OK sounds weird but here it goes. Does anyone have trouble swallowing? I have been tested for swallowing ( that yucky chalky stuff and marshmallow soaked in that white stuff) and that test showed nothing wrong. But here's the thing I can be eating, drinking liquids, or nothing at all in my mouth and start coughing and choking. After these pass I can continue to eat, drink or whatever and be perfectly fine.

yes especially bread and chicken, was diagnosed with a small hiatus hernia not sure if this has something to do with its
Yes I do have and I am hoping to have a test done as well. I can't even swallow tiny pills without tons of water. And am always fighting with things going down the wrong pipe.
Hmm, I sometimes choke on my own saliva, and I mean REALLY choke. It mainly only happens in my sleep though. Once in a great while it will happen if I am awake. I also have a hard time swallowing food. I have to make sure I take smaller bites and chew really well. It feels like my throat is getting smaller and the food goes down very slow.
Funny I got checked 4 years ago for this and it was because I would have times where I would eat something and it wasn't going down at all , ( that hurts like hell) sorry but it does . They did all those gross tests and then did a throat tube and found it was acid reflux which it did not feel like at all . But I took the meds and it helped now it happens once and a while and still hurts like (H) ! But I'm not sure why neither are they .
Yes! I have been doing that now for a couple of years. It is like I forgot how to swallow for a moment. It is really weird.
