I was researching the two and 9 out of 10 patients that have fibro. also have uterine fibroids... anyway just wanted to see if anyone share the same symptoms heavy menstrual cycle terrible cramps and menorregia

@A MyFibroTeam Member I forgot...as for IBS, yes, fiber is your friend!! It will help balance out the constipation and diarrhea. You'll still get it, at least I do, but it won't be as bad. Since you have both, don't take any prescription meds for it. There's nothing to keep you balanced. You'll just go from one extreme to the other! As for the cramping and gas, gas x. That's all I've found. Let's just say it "helps". For me, those are my worse symptoms. If I wasn't too embarrassed, I could probably get a word record for the longest fart!! LOL

@A MyFibroTeam Member... I think i am now starting to have those symptoms of IBS one day i a constipated and then next day diarrhea and very gassy

Interesting comment that the surgery made your fibro worse. I wonder if there are a lot more people who have post op complications after surgery that don't get discussed. I will be brave. After my hysterectomy I have had chronic diarrhea. Not c-diff. So of course they say it is IBS> but why did it start after surgery?

I had them and had very high chance of cancer so I had hysterectomy last year but the hysterectomy brought out my fibromyalgia sooner I haven't been the same since
