I'm currently on gabapentin but I don't think it's helping at all. I'm still in constant pain and my joints stay stiff. Not to mention it's given me a stutter. Everyone I've heard about Lyrica from says it's awful, but I know there have got to be people who benefit from it. Does Lyrica work for you? Is there anything else I should mention trying to my doctor?

Members shared mixed experiences with Lyrica and other fibromyalgia medications, with some finding meaningful relief from pain, migraines, and stiffness, while others struggled with side effects like weight gain, depression, or worsening brain fog. Several members described difficult trials with Cymbalta, noting that while it eventually helped with pain after several months, the initial side effects including nausea and vomiting were severe and required a long commitment to push through. A recurring theme was the highly individual nature of these medications, with many encouraging the original poster to work closely with their doctor, give new treatments adequate time to reach therapeutic levels, and remember that what works or fails for one person may be completely different for another.

Gabapentin gave me a stutter and made my body twitch all the time. I cut it back from 3 to one a day and i dont have that anymore but i dont think it does me any good at that dose. Im just afraid to stop taking it in case it does make a difference.

Gabapentin didn't help me either, so I stopped taking it. It made me stutter (which has sub sided since I stopped but the tremor is still present),

What are you wanting from this med? Are you asking about pain, muscle spasms? Gabapentin was bad bad for me and Lyrica didn't help anything. Cymbatal only gave me bad mood changes, so did Gabapentin. For pain I take Oxycodone, Morphine and Ibuprofen
