Is Any One Going Through Menopause & Fibro And Thinks That The Menopause Makes Your Fibro Worse?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am going though Menopause and I think that my Fibro flare ups are worse because of the Menopause.
And can you tell me if you do have Menopause how does it affect you?

I am perimenapausal, and I am living a nightmare with the sweats. I sweat due to pain, I sweat due to fibro, I sweat due to hormones, (or what's left of them). I am a walking sauna. Then I freeze. My body does not know what the heck it wants. My nerves are shot, and I feel like a eat carbs and chocolate!!!! So, I would say that is a resounding yes from me. Gentle hugs xxx

When fibro was getting more noticeable for a diagnosis, I was just on the tail end of menopause. Dr said it would have been worse but I had a Morena which helped with hormones. It probably would have been much worse. Right now I'm having trouble regulating my body temperature. I'm either really hot or really cold. There's hardly ever an in-between. You must be having a BIG problem with hot flashes.

Hi! Yes from what I have read fibro is worse through menopause and after. I am 48 years old and POST menopause. I just found this out at my six monthl with primary when I had him check my levels. I knew I had hit an all new low with my fibro in the last year but had no idea I was going through menopause.

GABBYONE1976 if you are still bleeding after a hysterectomy you should go to the doctor. It's not normal. Where is the blood coming from? You have no uterus? Immediately after surgery it's normal. But after you've healed you should never bleed again. Time to start asking questions and find out what's wrong! Don't let that one wait!
