Members responded to a question about fingernail pain with overwhelming validation that this symptom is real and shared across the fibromyalgia community, with many also describing pain in their toenails, scalp, hair, eyelids, and even feeling like their entire face is untouchable during flares. Several members shared practical strategies that have brought them relief, including warm water soaks, gentle hand exercises to keep blood flowing, warm wraps, vitamin D supplementation for nail strength, and having loved ones help with nail trimming when the pain becomes too severe. A recurring theme was the recognition that fibromyalgia leaves no part of the body untouched, with members finding comfort in knowing they are not alone in experiencing these unusual and often dismissed symptoms.

There are days everything hurts...my toenails seem to hurt more than my fingernails!

I am always catching my nails (normally my thumb) and it lifts the nail right off. Its bloody sore and I tend to swear a lot when it happens. Plus I've got the wee bumps across some of my nails (apparently this is a fibro thing). I imagine it must be really bad for a female with fibro and longer nails which catch easier. My sympathies go out to you girls x *hugs*
