This isn't a question but I wanted to know I'm not alone.
It's bad enough I can only shower once a week but it's exhausting. I'm embarrassed n ashamed. How can I get so tired from a bath. I had to sit there n build up the strength to get dressed.
This fibro crap really sucks. I'm so sick n tired of it.
I want my life back!!

I have been in a fatigue state where showering and dressing feel like it requires more energy than I had. Thankfully I am no longer I that place with my fibro. It is an awful place to be and my heart goes out to those of you who there now.
As a person who has been living with fibro for over 25 years, please indulge me and allow me a moment on a soap box. Inactivity actually perpetuate the fatigue and pain. Without activity our muscles become deconditioned, and eventually even the most minimal tasks will become a burden to the muscles and will cause pain. Even if it takes all day, get in the shower. Through my job, I watched a number of people give into the pain and stopped moving around. Two needed up using electric scooters and could only take a few steps and the other 2 ended up with full time care givers because they had lost so much muscle control and could no longer do personal care tasks. So it is important to look beyond the pain and fatigue today and realize the choices you make can have long consequences. I have been where you are....I truly understand the pain, fatigue and frustration. Keep plodding through those every day tasks. It WILL get easier as your muscles get stronger and your fatigue will lessen.
Jes01102015,
I had to add this, you were very brave to pose that comment/info!! I don't think I ever would have. WAY TO GO GIRL!!!! And thank you for doing it!!
This is my 6th year fibroversary there are times I wish I could just go to sleep and never wake up then I look around and see people worse off than me and I feel guilty then for feeling so useless and thinking I am bad off if ever a country would allow voluntary euthanasia for this disorder I think I would take it I will be 59 in January and feel of no use to anyone anymore life sucks everyday is full of pain and it is relentless I have no friends this is because I chose to let nobody in. My family have their own lives and have very little time for me and I am not a barrel of laughs to be around I manage the house, shopping and a part work from home job and I still drive but finding pleasure in life is few and far between gentle hugs to all life with fibro and chronic fatigue sucks*(((
God can only hold your hand through the fire right now...But look ahead to the prize he offered. God's son said to his fellow person on the torture stake, Tomorrow you will be with me in paradise.
What ever your paradise is...keep that as your prize to keep living.
If you have kids, or family, and you can't keep living for you, live for them!
Hopefully, soon they will figure out a cure, or a huge bandaid to make it better.
And, we are all here, fellow #FibroFighters
I hate it too! I have to allot myself time to re-coop from the shower.
Advice? Take cool showers. The heat is what is draining you.
I take as cool as I can and do not get drained like I used too.
Has anyone's pain been triggered by the temperature of your bath/shower water or by the shower water
