PIP Payments
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

A friend of mine has recently applied for this. She hasn't been diagnosed properly and works part time. Her hubby also works full time. She says these payments are to help pay for things she can't do like cleaning and gardening. Has anyone had experience of this? I'm considering applying. We are in the uk

I have applied for dla dissability living allowance then they changed it to pip and on both occasions was turned down so good luck on that one apparently it goes on how many aids you need eg walking sticks wheelchair you literally have to be in a wheelchair with no legs and head to get it

well I live in France but applied for benefit to help me hire someone to do the cleaning etc The UK have the form on their GOV.com website and you send them a letter from your Doctor and another from someone close to you (e.g.a neighbour) and send it back explaining in your own words the things you are unable to do. It was very quick and is paid into your bank account. I have a brilliant young woman who comes Monday and Friday 2hours each day.!! do apply!!!!!

I did apply for dla before fibro came under the dda and was treated t like crap at the appeal. Have thought about applying again recently but whenever I start to fill in the forms I feel a fraud because although my conditions are debilitating to me I don't quite fit into their criteria. I hate the thought of going through what I did last time. Xx
