I was in the exact same situation you are in now when my husband and I went on vacation a few weeks ago. I was so worried about the climate change going from desert to ocean side, and what advice I could get to avoid a flare. I too went on the Q&A to ask for advice and everyone was so sweet.
This was my experience. I worried for nothing. I don't now what happened but I felt so good on vacation. Only two bad nights out of nine days. When I got home I went on this site and talked to a few gals about why this happened. A lot of us felt that we were receiving so much joy and happiness from our experience that all the feel good hormones in our brain were on full overdrive. I almost felt like I was having a vacation from my fibro.
I also went away for five days over the Fourth of July weekend and experienced the exact same thing. Oh I hope there is some truth to this so that you can have a wonderful time in Tennessee.
The one thing I would recommend is to drink a lot of water. It really does make a difference. Especially if you are a morning coffee drinker. Drink one glass of water for every cup of coffee. It will help keep away headaches and swelling in your hands and feet. And of course rest when you feel you have to.
I hope you have a great time and enjoy your family!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Let us know how it goes!

Yes!!! I was running up and down the beach! We were on the Oregon coast. My husband was so happy for me that he took several videos of it.

My mom and I travel frequently- both of us are spoonies. Hats and an umbrella became important to shield the sun. Lots of sunscreen. Water. We planned in rest times during the day. Eating good food - not junk food also.
