Members offered solidarity and understanding around the frustrating experience of brain fog in fibromyalgia, describing symptoms that include forgetting words mid-sentence, struggling with spelling despite once being proficient, and mixing up simple phrases. Several members shared helpful strategies like recognizing when fatigue or pain triggers episodes, allowing time to rest when word-finding becomes difficult, laughing off mistakes to reduce stress, and one member mentioned Cymbalta as a medication that helped improve their clarity. A recurring theme was learning to stay calm and extend self-compassion rather than becoming upset, with many finding relief in humor and the realization that brain fog comes and goes without rhyme or reason.

In my search for spelling problems, I ran across your answer @ Brain Fog. I have always been really good at English and spelling, but have noticed over the years I sometimes can't find the right words to say and misuse of words, especially homonyms.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Some days I can't spell, I can't pronounce words and cannot think of the words I want to say. Of course, I am 67, so it could be old age added to it!
