Had anyone tested positive for lupus? I had one test last summer that was negative then one this past month that was positive. I go back in 12 weeks for more testing. Just wondering how common this is. Is lupus common among people with fibro?
I was tested in Feb and it came back negative. So was referred to Rheumatology and told I have fibro
@A MyFibroTeam Member I got a diagnosis of Lupus in about 2006 and was placed on 2 medications for it. I was referred to a Rheumatologist and she looked at my labs and said you do not have Lupus and took me off of the meds. Then when I went to see my orthopedic doc for my knee injection he looked at my labs and said I was borderline Lupus. UGH....The same pcp that said I had Lupus, also told me I had a Collagen disorder and the pcp that I have now said that I don't. Never ending!!
I tested positive when I first got sick as my Ana blood test was high. After blood tests every 3 months for a year my Ana was back to normal so they changed the diagnosis to Fibro. I continue to have more symptoms of Lupus but because my rash is not on my face they say I don't have it. The 1st year I got sick I developed a rash on my chest that gets worse during flare upsups but according to the medical standards, I guess it doesn't count as lupus.
I tested positive for it and my ana and seds are always.off but they still say fibromyalgia
You have Lupus, no you don't. I'm 100% positive you have lupus. You're an idiot for thinking you have Lupus. That's the cycle I'm in. My ANA panel is always in that 99% range but followup testing rules it out. Honestly I just gave up worrying about it because I'm tired of the run around I get about it.
