Members responded to a question about blurry, burning, and watery eyes by overwhelmingly confirming that vision problems are common experiences they share, with many attributing their symptoms to both fibromyalgia itself and the side effects of medications like gabapentin and other nervous system drugs. Several members described developing dry eye, needing glasses for the first time, experiencing worsening vision despite recent eye exams, and dealing with infections or autoimmune-related eye issues like uveitis. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing an ophthalmologist regularly, ensuring they are aware of your fibromyalgia diagnosis, and managing expectations around ongoing eye changes as part of living with the condition.

My eyes are getting worse but I wonder if part of it is lack of sleep too. My optican wants to see me every year. It's only been 4 months and they are worse. Never needed glasses until April. Sending hugs x

I seem to have many problems like most fibro sufferers. My eyes become dry. Sometimes watery, sometimes itchy and sometimes burning all in the same day. Maybe I now have allergies that I never had before. I just deal with it as with everything else.
