Members shared mixed experiences with vitamins and supplements for fibromyalgia, with many reporting noticeable improvements in energy, pain, brain fog, and flare frequency when taking vitamin D, magnesium, B vitamins, omega-3 oils, and glucosamine. Several members described practical approaches, including using liquid or powder forms for easier absorption, taking magnesium at night, getting regular blood tests to identify deficiencies, and trying elimination periods to see what truly helps. A recurring theme was balancing the desire to avoid more pills with the real benefits many found from targeted supplementation, alongside caution that some multivitamins can cause nausea or headaches and that supplements work best when addressing actual deficiencies confirmed by a doctor.

I am chronically deficient in vitamin D. I notice that if I take the dose my Dr tells me to, I feel much better. As for other vitamins that I take, they're only ones recommended because of conditions I have that put me at risk or because I have labs showing I'm low or I have a deficiency. My multivitamin is because I need such high levels of certain things nd thats my extra boost. Taking ones you don't need would just be making your pee expensive. Ask your Dr if you think you may have a deficiency or need something because there may be another cause for the symptoms. Otherwise, if you eat well and with a variety of fresh produce, lean meats, and whole grains, you should be fine.

I myself have found through educating myself and putting myself on trials so to say that yes vitamins can help....I found out the carpel tunnel can be a vitamin B6 deficiency so I started taking them...Also did the same with insufficient Magnesium being the problem with my restless leg syndrome...All of my vitamins I take until finished the bottle I then do a test to see if I can do without and usually find out I can not. As for magnesium I have just recently found out that it was causing me to be more itchy so had to stop taking them....

Yes I also find a health shake in the morning a much better option that multivitamins as some of them are just too strong and give me migraines or make me nauseous
