Does Anyone Have Issues Taking A Shower?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Taking a shower is exhausting to me, send me into a flare up almost. How can I manage this better? Taking a bath is just as bad and I can barely get out of the bathtub afterwards. Anyone else have issues with this?

Hi, yes who would have guessed you could have a.complete conversations about taking a shower. I used to love taking a shower, not so much now. With my arms and hands in so much pain now, its getting harder to wash my self off. I also wash my hair when taking a shower.now thats a chore.

Who would have thought showers would become a problem. I'm pretty sure that when this site was developed no one would have predicted that we would be trading stories about showers.

I thought it was just me, that is was drug related. We could have our own "hate the shower" club. lol

wow ...yes thank goodness for this site. I to thought it was me that just got dizzy , lightheaded, tired after a shower. it is supposed to do the opposite ....wake you up!! so I do keep the water cooler. and I have found that helps.

Thank you. I feel weak, dizzy, and breathless after a shower. My husband doesn't understand because a shower makes his aches better.

taking a shower is one of the worst parts of my day. it is totally exhausting, and for some reason now it seems like a process that takes forever. It is a chore, not relaxing at all. I find that I just take off my cloths and jump in even if i'm not ready, other wise i would play the procrastination game all day. When I get out and I am all clean I start sweating and i just get hotter and hotter until i stop and sit under the fan and don't move an inch for at least 10 minutes. But i would say just do it. go slow, and be careful. We don't wanna be sick and stinky.
