Yes, I have experienced this, and at times me tounge, as well as sides of my face, only one side of my face at a time, it's comes and gos. I was born with fbromyalgia, I've had every sign and symptom you could imagine. Since our fybro is tied into our whole body. Them numbing will stop but might pop up some where else.

I have never felt that sensation in that exact spot but I have had many of these spots all over my body at different times.first was my right ear where my glasses sit ,for a week.then it moved to a 6in oval spot on my left hip for a few days.followed by my entire right thigh for about 10 days and most recently the entire patch of skin on my back covering my left lung for almost a month.that last was the worst.it almost made breathing impossible and caused a few panic attacks.that was the main reason I went to the doctor and learned it was fibro.that sensation only started 3 months ago ,before I was on any meds.hope it goes away sooner than later

No I have not had the numbness on my lips. I have had teeth falling out because of broken roots. Sore jaw on lhs specially when I jawn. But I recommend you still mention it to your doctor next time you see him just to make sure everything is OK.
I also suggest you get a notebook just for your doctor and write in it all the things you want to discuss. Then you can also makes notes of what the doctor suggests.
