Oh my God the fibro is coming frequently and more painful! I have been up all night! Probably slept 2 hrs. The pain is so bad wouldn't let me sleep. Gabpentin 400mg have not helped! Feels like my left shoulder down to my fingers are burning aching and squeezing searing muscle spasms! Today is not a good day for me. Those who believe in the power of prayer please, please pray for me.

Members rallied around someone experiencing severe fibromyalgia pain that kept them awake, offering prayers, encouragement, and the reassurance that the flare would pass. Several members shared specific medication combinations that helped them, including muscle relaxers like cyclobenzaprine and Flexeril, higher doses of gabapentin, and anti-inflammatories like Vimovo, with many emphasizing the importance of speaking up to doctors about finding the right relief. A recurring theme was overcoming fear of stronger medications, with members sharing that effective pain management is essential for quality of life and that needing medication for a real medical condition is not the same as addiction.

I've been on these meds for over five years and I'm not addicted, (was in hospital for two weeks sedated for 12 of those days and awake the rest .... Wasn't allowed any of my meds while I was awake and of course wasn't on them while sedated.... No withdrawal just pain .... ) don't be afraid of asking for stronger x if you need them then take them x

Lol! Yes, I would not be concerned with addiction to pain meds if this pain ever have me where I don't want to live in this world any more. I have enough I am already addicted to is all I am saying. It wasn't meant to down anyone who take the drugs they need for relief of pain. I was referring to myself only. Hope this clarifies my intentions about these comments I have made. Soft hugs!

We are all addicted to whatever meds we are on. If anyone thinks that gabapentin isn't addictive, try stopping it. I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but and this is a great big but. I personally would rather be called an" ADDICT" (which I have) then to live with this ungodly disease. If you had constant, gnawing pain from cancer, lupus, even a broken leg would you really worry about addiction? I'll take addiction and quality of life over being in constant pain any day. I have an 85 year old Aunt who is slowly dying. She smokes and drinks wine or brandy. I quit smoking but if I get to be 85 and I'm sick I'm buying a carton of cigarettes and I'm going to smoke and drink dirty martinis all day, which for me means two and I fall asleep.
