Sleep is one of my enemy's. I cannot seem to get comfortable. I am most comfortable sleeping on my couch with my softest comforters under me.1 I am ready to buy a new bed, but I don't want to waste my money on something that will be uncomfortable. I need some ideas from others or what beds and pillows work best for you. Also I cannot use textured bedding. It actually hurts running across my skin..smh

Members shared their favorite sleep solutions for managing fibromyalgia-related discomfort, with adjustable beds like Sleep Number and Select Comfort being the most frequently recommended for their ability to customize firmness based on daily needs. Several members mentioned finding relief with memory foam mattresses like Tempur-Pedic, My Pillow brand pillows, high thread count sheets (800+), soft chenille throws from Walmart, and adjustable bases that raise the head and feet. A recurring theme was the importance of testing mattresses in stores before buying, recognizing that what works varies greatly from person to person, and investing in quality bedding that doesn't trigger painful skin sensitivity.

I have a My Pillow also and I keep a satin pillow case on it because it always fills cool. I'm all over the bed, kinda of like the hands on a clock always moving. It's hard to sleep with my husband and sometimes he gets up and goes in the spare room so he can actually sleep. My suggestion is go to a mattress store and lay on different ones to see if you get any relief.

I no that they aren't cheep but I don't by sheets unless they have a thread count of 800 hundred or more very smooth and soft. I like to look at Ross dress for less or Costco to find the best deals

I just bought a custom comfort bed and I love it! Not sure if the stores are out of state (I'm in California) they custom make the mattress to your body's needs..

I have a TempurPedic and love it! Sleep number is also good. I sleep with a My Pillow that I bought on QVC and it works well!

Hate to sound like a commercial, but I have a sleep number bed. Got a close-out of a discontinued model , but was still pricey. Took about 6 months to pay for it (charged it), but it was worth the money.

The Sleep Lab had them, and even though I was wired and watched (always a bit creepy), I slept better and felt more rested.

I can adjust the mattress to soft on bad days, or a bit firmer when my body wants more support. They are really pricey, so unless you are rolling in the dough, don't get the latest and greatest. The now ancient mattress I have was the base model, and still works fine after 10 years.

I hope that helps!

Gentle hugs,

Crizcat
