I know this may sound like a dumb question but I have been having localized pain, like tonight it is severe between my shoulder and elbow on both arms. I know Fibro is constantly changing our bodies does anyone else have this problem or could it be something else?

Members strongly validated the experience of localized fibromyalgia pain that shifts unpredictably from day to day, with many describing severe discomfort in areas like the arms between shoulder and elbow, neck, shoulders, and back. Several members shared practical insights, including how even light activities like lifting pets, laundry, or bending can trigger pain, the benefit of warm water pool exercises for relief, and the importance of checking symptoms with a doctor when uncertain whether pain is fibro-related or something else. A recurring theme was the unpredictable roulette wheel nature of fibromyalgia, where what the body can handle changes daily, alongside encouragement to listen to your body, do what you can without guilt, and never hesitate to seek medical confirmation for peace of mind.

Doesn't sound dumb to me at all. Doing anything even a little strenuous can cause pain in someone with fms, something that you could do yesterday isn't something you can do today, but you could do tomorrow. It's like your body is has a roulette wheel and whatever it lands on is what you get for the day. I know that it's a terrible thing to deal with but these pains come and go without us ever knowing how they happened or when they happened. My doctor told me if there was a symptom or a pain I wasn't sure about that I should get it checked. If you think that it's not just fibro make sure to get it checked so you can get help for it.

I get this all the time, every day is a new game of what hurts today on top of the general all over pain. My more common areas are my feet calves and arms between the shoulder and elbow. And my right shoulder. You definitely aren't alone.

Hello everyone

I certainly have say i have localized pain. I also will feel worse in certain areas on certain days. I could possibly have very crazy pain in my arms on Monday, Tues i could have major back ache, Wed it could be my neck and ofcorse like most days it would be everywhere. Our summer is coming in now and i too want to use our pool that can get to a good 31 degrees. Also i can sit on the pool step and move my limbs gently however if i try soft breast stroke im dead tired after about 5 min. Its crazy people, do what you can and Never ever feel guilty (mmm thats rich) try is the operative word.
Sending soft bunny hugs to all

Sometimes it's hard to distinguish between fibro or just natural aches, pains and muscle strain. I have hard the same localized pain in my back for more than 20 years that rarely feel better. Everyone is different.
I have arthritis in a number of places, therefore I have to just accept what's going on because it's hard to know what's what. Hang in there ๐Ÿ˜Š
