Headaches
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else suffer from blinding headaches..I have had one for two days now on the left side of my head..when I cough it feels like my head is going to explode. ..I have had various different meds and nothing has helped...

Is this connected to fibro? ?

It's driving me crazy...

I'm on topiramate as a preventative to stop the migraines before they happen, and have maxalt melt wafers for if I do get one ... And when I do .. Oh Lordy I'm on my arse with a cover over my head praying for dark and silence.. So I put my motorcycle helmet on and cover the visor he he it's so padded it keeps out so much background noise :)
I'm with you on the body pain too .. If I forget to take my 12 morning pills I know about by 10am .... And if I forget my 9 nighttime ones Lord help me try and move in the morning xxx
I'm here for all of you xx love and soft hugs x

Zigzag is fairly typical for migraines. I've never seen or read about jerking with migraines. But there are many rare side effects from meds. But jerking can also be seen with seizures. You should talk to your dr. if you haven't already. Low blood sugar can cause shaking also.

I have them as well. Been suffering from migraines since I was 11 yrs old. I am also on Topiramate the highest does avaliable and it barely keeps them under control. I was diagnosed with Fibro 2 yrs ago, after telling the docs for yrs that I new that is what I had been suffering from for about 5 yrs before I was actually diagnosed. I was already taking 2500 mlgrs of Gabapentin a day for my Carpel Tunnel. I am allergic to anything stronger then Ibu or Tylenol, so I have gone back to my Indian roots of meditation. It helps so much to be in a dark room with just a candle lit and I totally go into my self relaxation, 9 times out 10 I can relieve them. I am also contimplating a piercing call the Daith, it is a piercing of a small flap of cartilage of the ear that is a pressure point for migraines. You have it done on the side that you get your migraines the most frequent. If I can lesson at least one of my pains I would be happy.

Fibromyalgia is known for migraines. I've had them for up to 3 days. Alot of times I just have to go to bed and sleep it out. There is medacines for migraines. Hang in there. These things are horrible! Hugs!

Same here. I use Excedrin Migraine. I have been on every migraine medicine that's prescribed and none ever helped but Excedrine does.
