Communication is great for any and all sex lives but with our fibro its needed even more so. And it doesn't always mean your genitals touching. there is mutual masturbation, simple dirty talk, being handsy, etc. It doesn't even have to be sexual. Find ways to be intimate with one another that's not staining on you and your body. Cuddling, a shower or bath together, a massage. Good luck and don't let this get you down.
It definitely affects ur sex life. My husband and I make sure we talk about what we like and what works when it comes to sex. After my diagnosis, there were days I was too exhausted to have sex, even though I wanted to. So now, I tell him I want sex but tell him "u may have to do all the work" which is completely fine with him haha. Make sure u keep that connection with ur partner, even when ur pooped. Just be honest about how u feel and come up with a game plan. Even if ur in pain or tired, do it. u will not regret it
It has, but communication and imagination have helped to keep the spark alive. Sometimes I just can't and just to be held, that connection is the best thing in the world.
It's certainly affected mine....it's now extinct 🤐 I've lost my sexton drive but I think this may be due to having to have my ovaries removed about 3 years ago (I don't take HRT).
Totally agree with randaroo😉 My wife has fibro and she went through stages of lacking energy as well as just not feeling good about herself due to changes in her body weight due to medication. We have great communication and I think as her husband my job is to do anything for my wife to make her feel totally beautiful, sexy, and feel wanted in every way. I pamper her, massage her and add lots of spice to our intimate times. I think it's the emotional connection that makes her feel good and has taken our relationship, emotionally and physically to another level. I also adjust our intimate times to how her body is feeling And always ensure she gets lots of pleasure. Good luck with this and hope you are finging ways to enjoy this with your partner.
