Does Anyone Else Research Fibromyalgia Treatments And Research? What Sites Do You Trust?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I like to keep up to date on research and new treatments for fibromyalgia but I don't know which sites to trust. Does anyone else like to do their research? If so, what sites do you use? I seen an article the other day about how researchers believe that fibro cause has something to do with the nerves in our hands. I don't know if that's believable or not?

Most, if not all, of the major hospitals do research and publish. You would just have to ck and keep looking for articles on the internet. I would be very wary of a lot of sites. I think if you stick with the major hospitals you should be OK. There is a doctor in Ann Arbor, Michigan University Hospital who does research on fibro. I will have to try and find his name. I know it was a short name but spelled slightly different than what you would think. Will try to ck it out and get back to this site.

@A MyFibroTeam Member. I research and then talk to my doctors with my findings. I go to the National Pain Report, WebMD, the other support groups I am a member of and really everything I can get my hands on. I've read several books, incl the Dummies book on Fibro. Just like any research, you need to consider your sources and verify the results elsewhere or with a professional, like your Dr. I don't trust much online but the .org sites are all safe and if it comes from a good Medical school I would consider it true. Good luck with your fibro journey, and Warm gentle hugs
