For the last few months I have been having mouth sores that come and go. Now my mouth has gotten to where certain foods burn my mouth. I have always loved spicy foods but I can't eat them anymore, I have even had to change my toothpaste to un minty. Does anyone else have this problem? Any idea what is doing this?

I used to get mouth sores all the time. Then I found Biotene or Act toothpaste. They both have a mouthwash also. I can't eat spicy food either. But either one has stopped my mouth sores. My mouth gets dry from my medicine. I tried these toothpaste and mouthwash and no moth sores for 20 years. I hope this helps. Give the Act one a try, it has a better taste. It says on the box or bottle for dry mouth. You may think your mouth is not dry but it's telling you different. Hugs my friend. Let me know how it turns out.
Good question---- and @A MyFibroTeam Member and @A MyFibroTeam Member gave my answers lol. I have had mouth sores and cankers on my tongue - in fact I have one now. I avoid all high acid food and also use Biotene. It sucks because I used to love chips and salsa - sad no more. I do believe that dry mouth from medications exacerbates the mouth sores. We have this great disease that makes us all over sensitive. I haven't been able to eat spicy food forever. We went out for my son's birthday, and for some reason I ended up having a mouth full of blisters. Sometimes I can't handle eating black pepper on things (minimal). I get stuff in my mouth from some of my medacine.
I hope this helps you, at least we know we are not alone in this lovely disease. Hugs!
That not unusual. I lost my teeth due to a serious bruxism problem. I had to get dentures and with the fibro, my nerves in my gums are so sensitive that the dentures somehow causes sores on my gums and cheeks. My tongue is also sensitive to certain acid and spices. It is so annoying. I drink a lot of hot green tea to try to sooth them.
When I get a flair up, i get mouth sore. I was at the dentist friday and now have a HUGE one on my inner check that hurts so bad.
