I just completed the Psyc eval for the SSD process, which I didn't know was a part, but I didn't have to go to their doc (I guess bc I sent in so much info in my medical records?) & the psychologist informed me this was the last part of their "investigation." This is my first time around, no lawyer but I'm getting nervous bc everyone is saying that they were denied w/o a lawyer, even the psychologist said just get a lawyer if you're denied. Social Sercurity denied everyone the first. And lawyer is important. I found this info for you::
You can find your local legal aid office in this directory from Legal Services Corporation. If you live near law schools, you can call them to see if they have a disability “clinic” where law students represent disability claimants.
My job appointed my lawyer all I had to do is show up when that time came. Small room with of course the Judge, Social Security, OPM, Court Reporter. Depending on your medication that needed for you will determine if OPM can finda job for you. Medication w ER, if you need to rest (sleeping after taking medication) most likely you will need to rest and not able to report on time ability to focus on your work duties, memory problems is very important. Which I'm sure you will have problems in that area as well. Long story short. OPM looked up 365 jobs for a Network Engineer IT, I was not quilified for any. Reason being the medication made me sleepy and no one is going to hire you to sleep. Especially if you are taking any break-thru medication you will not be able to focus or retain any information and a nap is going to happen anyway. We know that. And they OPM & SSD as well. I wouldn't worry about that..we know that's in your favor because of the side affects of the medications, flare-up.
Try to find again an school with students as lawyers interns. My case with my lawyer was his first case and he won it. So, yes it's needed.

On and you may get approved without an issue because Fibromyaliga is now debilitating disease and you can get approved for SSD, SSI, SSID. Praying you get approved without any issues

I was approved about a year, but I was still getting money from my job. I was approved @A MyFibroTeam Member for 100% SSD, and none of my monies were given to my attorney for my case in Fort Washington, Maryland.
I found about about an attorney from my specialist. He had worked closely with SSD and my attorney also supported my choice of doctors. I got denied but the attorney filed an appeal and I was approved. I was denied in Virginia for making too much money even though I worked part-time as a psychologist. They sent me to a psychologist for a psych eval. I had a psychiatrist that gave me my true diagnosis and usually psychiatrist will trump a psychologist on DSM diagnosis. I felt it was a good sign they paid for the eval. I had to give the attorney's a 1/3 of the back pay but there wasn't much back pay anyway. What helped me was that the attorney's paralegal did all the work and kept some of the stress off of me. I just kept sending her proof of my doctor's appointments and proof of my medications. I am thankful it is over not much money but anything is better than nothing so I count my blessings because I know that I am unable to work now. Every State is different as well.
