I have worn glasses since I was 7, however, recently I've noticed, especially at night, or when I'm tired, that my vision gets blurry.

Members confirmed that blurry vision is a common experience with fibromyalgia, often worsening when tired or in pain, with some noting that it began suddenly around the same time as other fibro symptoms even when eye exams showed nothing wrong. Several members shared practical insights, including that certain medications like Lyrica can cause blurred vision as a side effect, that changes in blood pressure or blood sugar may contribute, and that dry eyes, excessive screen time, and lack of sleep can all make the problem worse. A recurring theme was the importance of tracking when blurriness occurs to identify patterns, using lubricating eye drops for comfort, and consulting doctors about underlying factors like gestational diabetes during pregnancy or medication adjustments if the blurriness persists.

My vision is also very blurry at night,it started about 2 years ago,way before I was diagnosed. Went to the eye dr because I was worried, my vision hadn't changed at all. I use eye drops for dry eye which makes them feel better but doesn't help with blurriness

I was actually told by the optician that the blurred vision can be a side effect from Lyrica

Yes I do experience it. I have never worn glasses or needed to but recently I had an eye exam and had to get a pair.

Yes! Especially bad when I am tired. About 8-9 years ago I went from having perfect 20/20 vision, to terrible blurry double vision within a very short amount of time (about a month or so). It makes me think it is actually just a Fibro symptom as that is about when many of my other issues started that were later attributed to Fibro. So yes, it is one of the many known Fibro possible symptoms, and I can definitely vouch for that!!

I experienced blurry vision after being on a medication for 2 years. The first 2 years were fine then it developed after so I got off and now my blurred vision only comes every few months or so...
