What type of Doctor diagnosed you?
I was referred to a Rheumatologist. My GP is the one treating me though. The Rheumatologist said, I only had Fibro and a GP could treat me. Except the GP at the time refused to treat Fibro! I was told "we don't treat Fibro" . I immediately found another GP, who changed my diagnosis to Myofacial Pain and then treated me as the symptoms popped up and/or changed. I love this GP!!
I had to leave my GP and find another doctor who finally put a name to the pain. Went back to my GP, still not believing what I was diagnosed with and decided to send me to physical therapy. Lucky for me, the physical therapist had taken classes back East to learn more about fibro and myofacial techniques, which he diagnosed me with as well. GP has been the one administering my medications until today. He referred me to a pain management doctor and more physical therapy.
Sorry to hear that Lara
So sorry, to hear that!
I asked my Primary Dr. who was an Internal specialist Ifni could have it for I was getting more of the symptoms and other diseases that go along with Fibromyalgia and she said"Oh yes you have it with the other thing you are telling me since the last time". That was back in 1995 in With. She unfortunately passed away 3 years ago from cancer.
