Members opened up about experiencing severe lower back and hip pain so debilitating that many described their legs giving out, falling, and being unable to walk or stand without support. Several members shared strategies that provided at least temporary relief, including heating pads, hot baths, Jacuzzi soaks, steroid shots, muscle relaxers, and mobility aids like shower chairs and walkers, though many noted that relief was often short-lived or incomplete. A recurring theme was the isolating and exhausting reality of living with constant pain that makes even basic daily activities like showering, sitting, or standing a struggle, with members expressing both solidarity and frustration over the limitations imposed by their conditions.

YES! Heating pad helps while I am laying on it. Hot bath is good while I am in the water. Have a stool in the tub to use when taking showers. Any walking, sitting and standing is a struggle. Sitting typing this is a struggle. It isn't a good life at all.

I have been suffering with the back, hip and burning leg pain for a long time. I just started a new muscle relaxer and I don't feel any relief. Steroid shots, anti inflammatory med, I can't take do to kidney failure. My husband bought me a shower chair a long time ago. I can not soak in tub. It is bad to sit in water for fear of kidney infection. So, Brett I am glad that you have the Jacuzzi and can relax in it.
