When I went back to work after 4 back surgeries I would nod off while at work! I worked as a retail sales consultant at a cellular retail store. I would be talking to a customer or setting up their phones and not remember the conversation. It scared me real bad! I would usually be standing too! I never fell completely asleep, never fell down. It was really weird.

Could it have been brain fog?

Members connected deeply over experiences of fibro fog in response to someone wondering if nodding off at work and losing track of conversations could be brain fog, with the overwhelming consensus being that these symptoms are a common and frustrating part of living with fibromyalgia. Several members shared practical strategies including carrying pen and paper for notes, drinking Nettle Mountain Greek Steeped Tea, and being aware that certain medications can worsen symptoms, while also describing embarrassing but relatable moments like forgetting words mid-sentence, losing track of conversations when interrupted, and walking to a room only to forget why. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of fibro fog, including feeling misunderstood by family and friends who dismiss it as normal aging, worrying about safety when nodding off while caring for children or driving, and learning humility and self-compassion in the face of a symptom that can make daily life feel unpredictable.

I use to be like that until I started drinking Nettle Mountain Greek Steeped Tea. It was after the 4th day that I realized the fog was all but gone after aweek it was totally gone. I started remembering things and i sropped nodding off.
I only know one place to get it at Steepedtea.com
I will never stop drinking it as it gave me back my brain lol a large bag is 20 dollars cdn it is worth a shot to try and if you do let us know if you get the same results as I do also drink 3 cups aday thats what worked for me.
Hope this helps

I have fibro fog 24/7. It is the pitts because I am over 60 and my family and friends say Oh I have that too that's just means you're getting older. But that's not the case and I can't find the right words to explain it. The biggest problem is not finding the right words, misspelling words and forgetting what I was talking about after being interrupted. lol

I forget things on a regular basis and am almost constantly trying not to nod off during work. I LOVE my job and I still can't help it.

Fibro Fog? This morning, I was standing in front of the dining room table fixing to walk out the door. I turned around to grab my lunch out of the freezer. After taking the maybe 5 steps from the table to the fridge I'd already forgotten why I was going to the fridge. So instead of opening the freezer, I opened the fridge door and was like, "what did I come over here for?" Closed the fridge walked back over to the table picked up my purse and was like "Oh Yeah! My lunch! Duh!" It was nice that I actually remembered it before I left the house.

I know EXACTLY what you mean @A MyFibroTeam Member. I'll be 40 in February and I have the same problem with finding words. Sometimes I can explain the word and people can guess the right word but not always. I'm also constantly forgetting what I was saying if I get interrupted. Then I have to ask what I was saying & I feel so stupid.

Thus was one of my scariest symptoms. I was in Management of a Bank. Scary it is, but learn to carry pen and paper to make notes. I have gotten in this habit and found it very helpful. I love my chaos of a calendar. It keeps me sane.
