Nocturnal is the urge to urinate two or more times per night. It seems that as soon as I lay down, I have to pee within half an hour. Like something is pushing my bladder. My 'output' is hardly worth getting up for. I personally go about every 2 hours. Nothing during the day.
Thanks for the input. No liquids please :-)

Members shared widespread frustration with nocturia (frequent nighttime urination), describing the exhausting cycle of feeling an urgent need to pee yet producing only a trickle, with many unable to fully empty their bladders and several noting the issue worsens with fibromyalgia or interstitial cystitis. Several members offered practical strategies including stopping fluid intake by 7pm, elevating feet above heart level during the day to reduce fluid retention, using a small footstool to change bladder angle while sitting on the toilet, lifting the belly and leaning forward to relieve pressure, and seeking referrals to urologists or continence clinics for treatments like bladder stretches or free continence pads. A recurring theme was the importance of self-advocacy with doctors, tracking fluid input and output through diaries, exploring both physical therapy and medications, and finding community support to cope with the sleep deprivation and daily disruption this condition causes.

Yes and it is a nightmare. I do get it on day too but not all the time. I find it hard to fully empty my bladder I think.

Oh wow! I totally experience this. I didn't realize it could be connected to fibro. I limit liquids in the evening and I try to resist the urge for as long as possible. Sometimes I wake up with the urge to urinate but I just go back to sleep. This seems to be helping me.
