Members shared mixed experiences with weight loss while living with fibromyalgia, with several reporting successful losses of 20 to 80 pounds through walking, eliminating processed foods and sugar, and committing to healthier eating despite the challenge of medications that promote weight gain. Many members emphasized that while losing weight required extra effort and discipline, it unfortunately did not reduce their fibromyalgia pain as they had hoped, with one member noting their doctor's insistence that weight loss would help prove incorrect. A recurring theme was the daily struggle between managing pain that limits mobility, dealing with medications that cause weight gain and water retention, and finding the motivation to keep moving and eating well even when results feel discouraging.

I still would like to loose more. I walk, and do full body movements while laying on my back which really helps me alot with the pain and it makes my muscles stronger.

Hiya I have lost 20 lbs by walking when I can and healthy diet and am on pregablin, codeine and venlafaxine so you can lose despite the meds you just have to try harder! I am now back in healthy weight range and thought it might help with the pain but it hasn't. When I walk I feel fit on the inside, and not out of breath but it's like my structure is rusty! And seized up!

NO,
reason being some meds make you gain weight (water) plus there is the added slow down of activities when you are in pain. My pain is every day, I am sitting here right now and my legs are burning up, this is now happening on a daily basis and with everything added on top, making me less mobile x

So far I've lost 25 lbs. Since beginning of May. Changed my eating habits to healthy, nonprocessed foods and no sugar. Miss my junk food daily but it is making a difference with my nausea and stomach aches.
