I had a gastro 2 weeks ago for this, my throat feels like I have a pill stuck and it makes me keep swallowing, my chest was getting painful like oesophagitis and I was coughing up acid,my throat keeps drying and I can feel this process happening which envokes a coughing fit, I know I have GERD and hiaitus hernia but that has been under control for years, I am waiting for an appt with ENT as my ears are dry and no wax for months, my eyelids are dark and dry, my tongue soaks up fluid like blotting paper and my nose has no secretions .. I,m sure its NOt fibro related BUT the throat swallowing issue could be muscular so get it checked and don't, leave it ..
Yes, I have been having swallowing issues since b4 I was diagnosed with Fibro in 2008. It is a scary thing to try to eat and food get stuck in your throat. It is also very painful. I try to take very small bites and chew for a long time. It seems to happen when I do not eat for a while then after the food finally pass and go down I can usually eat again with no swallowing issues. I have had testing done but they cannot find anything wrong. I and going to see a new ENT for more evaluation but I know in my heart that this is due to my fibromyalgia. It seems like the muscles in my throat is weak just like all of the other muscles in my body.

I never thought aabout it but yes , i regulaly feel it hard to swallow and throught feeling sore. and my meds seems to be getting and look like horse pills
Seems that when I'm having a bad flare up it happens. I've always wondered what the heck the reason for it was. There's so many other issues related with Fibro that ur always wondering if something's really wrong or just yet another issue from fibro!!!!!!
