Members shared widespread experiences of blurred vision with fibromyalgia, with many describing it as most noticeable during flare-ups, migraines, or brain fog, while noting that eye doctors often rule out cataracts and glaucoma. Several members offered practical strategies including annual eye exams, using artificial tears like Systane for dry eyes, checking for prism lenses to correct muscle alignment issues around the eyes, and being mindful that medications like Lyrica can cause vision changes. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out other causes such as high blood pressure, diabetes, dehydration, or aging, while acknowledging that fibromyalgia can indeed affect the muscles around the eyes and create real visual disturbances.

I also have Sjogren's. One of the side effects of Lyrica is blurred vision. I have read that the reason Fibro caused blurred vision is the muscles around the eyes pull on the eye. I try to remember to do eye exercises daily.
