Does anyone know the connection between fibromyalgia and "emotional Rollercoaster?" One minute I happy and the next I'm agitated or depressed. I try not to think about the pain I'm in or how I don't feel like doing anything because I'm so tired...but how can you not? I never really had these emotions before...just looking to see if anyone is going through the same thing. xo & gentle hugs
I think anybody with chronic pain has these feelings. Even on good days our bodies are so tired of the pain that our minds can't get a break even if our body is feeling better. Prayer and or meditation help a lot. I can't meditate I wish I could. My mind is always busy. But I pray and try to stay positive as much as I can. Not always easy, sometimes it is very hard to stay positive but we can do it.
Everyday is an emotional roller coaster for me as I'm either so upset that my life sucks, or think of how I used to be and I get upset, or I try to do something so simple as open a jar and can't do it and it pisses me off! The list just goes on and on!! And this is exactly why meditation doesn't work for me! They say relax and put yourself on a beach but I get upset because before Fibro I would be playing beach volleyball or swimming. They say put yourself on a mountain and I get worked up cause I think, how did I get up that mountain, years ago I could have walked up it easily. And the list goes on. I struggle desperately with depression over this miserable sickness and I try to stay positive but again as soon as you go to move, your body hurts so bad you just want to give in and collapse! You are definitely not alone!
I feel the "roller-coaster" inside and try hard to not let it show too much...don't always suceed.
I feel crazy most of the time, and I go through those emotional rollercoaster rides too. And let me tell you, I'm not a rollercoaster kinda girl. I feel like people see me as dramatic or crazy, but really, I'm just trying to get through my day. I feel your pain on this for sure. Gentle hugs.
I'm actually feeling the same way right now. I felt good and now I'm sad, depressed and lost my patience with my daughter and blew up at her. I'm staying with my sister and almost paranoid that she doesn't want me here anymore. You're not alone, these emotions suck. I'm on 2 anti depressants and anxiety meds and a bi polar med.... I just can't get it under control. Hugs to you, take a deep breath and try not to be so hard on yourself.
