I was told that FM alone difficult to get on first try but if have other conditions like CFS and mental issues ( ie: depression, anxious) that this could help your case

Yes! But your doctor has to be very specific when they fill out the medical. If you don’t get it the first time, when you do get it you will be back paid, you will need to reimburse your LTD carrier. Rest assured that LTD must continue to pay you.

Not wanting to be personal if you don't wish to share but depression alone qualifies. It's all how your doctor fills out the forms. Do you see a specialist?

If your LTD runs out, you still may qualify for a top up, as for CPP start applying now it take about 26 weeks to get. This way you won't be without any money. If your in Ontario I would apply for ODSP as then your meds are covered.

I did. Initially they accepted me but said I would have to resubmit every two years but then sent a follow up letter stating that would not be necessary. The biggest thing I would suggest is to answer all the questions focused on how your symptoms negatively impact you ar WORK. that is what they are interested in. Can you work.. Also I bought a book called "Fibro for dummies" (no joke). It helped a bit but was geared to Americen system. The book helped me to organize all of the symptoms that I had and how hard it was to work. Anyway, all the best. Good luck.
