A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I wanted to ask if anyone is doing some exercise, and what kind of exercise?

Yes I do exercise, I have a routine that was shown to me by a personal trainer that has fibromyalgia. She showed me some exercise that are great for people with fibromyalgia. One day I go walking for 15 mins to 1/2 hour, then the next day I do strength training, I follow the exercise program she gave me. It makes me feel so much better. I have a day off on Sunday and when I feel unwell.

Hi Loz, the exercises I do are the following:
5 mins exercise bike warm up.
3 x 16 step ups and side steps using a aerobic step.
2 x 12 squats.
2 x 12 lunges.
2 x 12 side reaches.
2 x 12 leg raises.
2 x 8 fitball crunches.
2 x 12 wall push ups.
2 x 10 chair high knees.
2 x 10 chair kicks.
2 x 10 walking in and out (hips)

This is what I was given by the personal trainer at my gym who has fibromyalgia, but prior to exercising I had to be checked by a doctor as not all exercises are good for everyone.

I wish I could exercise but I can't. I have a bad back, knees, ankles and feet also if I do anything that overheats me I get a migraine. Alot of people can and feel better afterwards. I cannot so try just a little at first to see how you feel the next day and go from there. Just remember don't overdue it or you'll pay for it. Good luck, gentle hugs

Anything other then light treadmill puts me in severe pain the next day I shouldn't have to choose between getting in shape and not being in pain so unfair
