Hi all, I have put on a lot of weight and I'm not happy with my body. I find it hard to exercise with all the pain and after a days work last thing I feel like doing is making the pain worse, just to loose weight but I do want to loose a couple of pounds to fit back into my clothes.

Members shared openly about the frustration of weight gain with fibromyalgia, with many attributing it to medications like Lyrica, chronic pain limiting physical activity, and the general exhaustion that makes exercise feel impossible. Several members offered dietary strategies that worked for them, including eliminating baked goods and carbs, focusing on meat and vegetables, choosing organic produce when possible, and trying programs like Shape ReClaimed drops prescribed by holistic doctors. A recurring theme was the grief of losing former athletic identities and abilities, the trial-and-error of balancing medication side effects with pain relief, and the shared understanding that weight management with fibromyalgia requires creative approaches beyond traditional exercise.

I've been doing a diet program prescribed by a Fibro Dr who's actually is a homeopathy chiropractor and it's called Shape Reclamed. You have a very strict diet such as no carbs no sugar and mainly fruits, veggies and proteins only. You take these drops that are prescribed to help burn the fat and speed up your matabolism and I haven't had to do any type of work out or exercise which I can't like most. You can lose up to 1/2 lb a day. In four months I lost 36 lbs. and 30 more to go would be nice. Anyone interested in it its called Shape ReClaimed and it's homeopathic prescribed by doctors.

The above plan would not have worked for me. My body doesn't tolerate cardio.
I lost 30 pounds by eliminating all baked goods. I recently added some gluten-free baked goods but I feel the weight coming back. Most of us are so inactive we can only maintain ideal weight with meat and vegetables and leafy greens, and limited amounts of fruit.

I was a well known athlete pretty much my whole life. I was super fit and taught spinning back to back. Now I'm 45 lbs overweight. I have a very healthy diet.
Everyone's complaining about weight gain. I hate to say it , but maybe it's part of this horrible confusing disease.

I lost 8 pounds in 2 weeks and loosing more as we speak just by stopping Lyrica. It was horrible for me. Weight wait. Brain fog. And angry rages. I am taking neurontion now ( which is the same) and it works for my nerve pain without the side effects Good luck

Pesticides are most likely associated with flare ups. If you can't afford organic, at least buy organic apples. They have the highest level of pesticide residue. Avocados are at the low end.
