Does anyone else get extremely hot right before bedtime at night? The last 2 weeks I get so hot that I can't go to sleep but then I wake up in the middle of the night washed down in sweat. I go thru several changes of clothes a night.

Members connected over the challenging experience of severe night sweats and overheating, with many initially attributing symptoms to menopause before realizing fibromyalgia could be the culprit, while one member discovered hyperthyroidism was the cause. Several members shared practical strategies including keeping rooms extremely cold with air conditioning set as low as 60 degrees, using multiple fans, taking fish oil supplements (1200mg), and trying medications like Venlafaxine, though results varied. A recurring theme was the physical toll of sleeping in soaked clothing and bedding, changing outfits multiple times per night, and the frustration of profuse sweating during minimal activity, with members finding comfort in knowing they weren't alone in this exhausting symptom.

My issue is not just at night but all day. I sweat so much that I can wring out my shirt with sweat. Oh at night I sleep with the air on and a fan blowing the cold air on me.

Fish oil seems to be helping, but I need something more for night time. I have the air low, ceiling fan on and a bed side stand up fan on high.

OMG! Yes I complain about it daily. I thought it was just me. I complained to my doctor and she said my prescription of Venlafaxine would help, NOT. My poor husband can't even touch me at night without me breaking out in a sweat. I thank God he is so understanding. I am going to try Black Root Kohash again. It worked for awhile and then stopped. I thought maybe menopause at first but, I think it is another Fibro-buddy (have to make the symptoms my buddy to keep a sense of humor and stay sane) symptom honestly. Uggg! Stay encouraged my Sistah, you are not alone. Be blessed
