For those of you with fibro who have joint pain-- what are your C-Reactive and SED rates? Are they elevated? Mine are elevated, and Dr wants to treat as seronegative RA with Plaquenil. Wondering what to do?

I think plaquenil is a drug they used for our soldiers to fight malaria. If it is what I'm thinking...I had it prescribed about 7 years ago for lupus. I don't recall any side effects but I did have to have my eyes checked like every six months. It did help for a few years. Then I had to change docs and he said I had fibromyalgia not lupus and that is why it quit working.
It is when you do not test positive to The Rhuematoid factor, and sometimes all your blood work is normal, but you meet all the other criteria for Rhuematoid Arthritis(disease). My sed rate and c reactive rates are elevated, but not crazy high. Means there is inflammation. Even if they don't diagnose you with RA, they may still want to start you on RA medicines to help fight inflammation. @A MyFibroTeam Member.
So sorry, I misspoke above. Fibro fog at its finest. I meant Plaquenil.
Prednisone has its own side effects. I don't even know how many meds I've tried but my stomach wouldn't tolerate them.
