Tingling And Nubmness, Do You Experience This?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello team,
Does anyone else experience tingling in their head and or hands, and feet? I honestly want to so it's worse than the pain I sometimes feel throughout the day. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia over 2 years ago and I still have so many questions. Please help. I feel so lost and alone at times.

Members strongly validated the experience of tingling and numbness as a recognized symptom of fibromyalgia, with many describing it in their hands, feet, and scalp, often severe enough to disrupt sleep, cause dropped items, or signal the onset of migraines and flares. Several members shared helpful strategies including medications like Gabapentin and Lyrica, supplements such as B12 and B1, alternative therapies like acupuncture, and body brushing to desensitize nerve endings and improve circulation. A recurring theme was the relief of knowing others share this frustrating symptom and the importance of discussing these experiences with a doctor to explore treatment options.

It's sounds very much like paresthesia or one of the various forms of neuropathy and is very much a common symptom of FIbro unfortunately

Dealing with it is usually with the usual Fibro meds Gabapentin, Lyrica amitriptyline tho some say it can be the cause of it, other say makes it worse.
Alternative therapies can be helpful like acupuncture or acupressure sessions, and supplements like B1, B12

Also try body brushing to desensitise nerve endings and increase circulation

Hope this helps and gentle hugs xx

Thanks so much for your response... I'm going to try some B12 and mention to my dr at my next visit :)

Left foot numbness was my first indication and then it went widespread to both of my feet and hands.

I used to get this all the time. Not sure which of the supplements has helped, but I am much better. In the winter is another story.

Numbness and tingling is when it first started. Left foot numbness and then started to go widespread.
