I wonder why it is,that females get fibromyalgia more than males? Has anyone got a theory on this?

I dont think the amount of male sufferers is a true amount. Men have been taugh since a young age to be tough and not to show your pain. This illness would test the toughest mans sanity. There are more and more men being disgnoised because this pain is not one you can suffer in silance.
I think sites like these will give them a platform to air how they are with out the the stygmatism of the tuff matcho man.
I just hope it will reach those men.

I don't think that it's gender bias, I've been reading a lot n it says if you had major trauma to more than one part of your body at,an young age or actually anytime its major youcan get this horrible nasty crapppy stuff called fibromialgia 😈😈😈 Also other illnesses can contribute too !!!! Nervous legs, RA,MS, multiple fractures, migraine headaches!!!! you just have to listen to your body n stop when it tells you too !!!! eat healthy with lots of fruits and veggies. .... keep moving even when it hurts bcuz if you don't it's way worse on you 😲😲😲 well I've carried on 4 long enough! Wishing you all less pain n restful nights πŸ˜‡πŸ‘€πŸ‘Gentle hugs flying πŸ’πŸ’Peace n Love 🌈🌈🌈✌❀❀

I learned that women have more hormonal issues than men do and the nerves in our body react when the hormones are in full bloom.

It seems that there must be some strong hormonal influence. That seems to be the suggestion in a lot of literature, particularly due to the typical age of on-set.

I think stress is a big factor. I think that men and women feel stress in different ways. I think we feel pain in different ways. I blame stress for my fibro.
