Can I take cyclobenzapr (muscle relaxer) and gabapentin together? I am in some major pain tonight and I have some cyclobenzapr on hand and would like to take one.

Members reassured someone wondering if they could safely take cyclobenzaprine and gabapentin together for major pain, with the overwhelming consensus being yes, though it may cause drowsiness depending on tolerance. Several members shared their own routines, with many taking both medications regularly and recommending the muscle relaxer at bedtime to manage side effects like sleepiness. A recurring theme was the importance of consulting a doctor when in doubt and understanding that while gabapentin addresses fibromyalgia pain at a lower cost than Lyrica, cyclobenzaprine helps calm muscles and can be a valuable addition to a nighttime pain management routine.

Yes, sorry was going to answer this last night and passed out! Gabapentin is the main med for your Fibro. It has been around for a long time and works like Lyrica at a fraction of the cost. Downside to gabapentin is you have to take more pills because it's not as potent as Lyrica. Lyrica is super expensive though. The muscle relaxer is exactly what it says. To calm your muscles. That I believe is the generic of flexeril. Should be a tiny orange pill? I have found that is one of the main muscle relaxers prescribed and makes you very tired. If you can, try taking that at night. So I take gabapentin three times a day. And if needed the muscle relaxer before bed. I also take ultam 100MG two times daily. You should always be informed by your doctor though? Let me know if you have any other questions. How many times a day do you take it?
