I haven't seen the weight gain as a problem but i know the depression sure does cause it 😒 it's a vicious cycle, we hey depressed because we hurt so bad, all the time, that make the fibro worse which makes the depression deeper ands so on. Chronic pain sucks!!! Soft hugs everyone!!

not 100% sure if Gabapentin was the cause or me just being prone to being fat. I've always been a big girl and of course absolutely everything I take "can cause weight gain" is a side effect. I'm not at my biggest any more, but definitely a bit bigger than I would like to be; and loosing it seems to never happen. When I did hit my largest, it took my dad asking if I had "some news" for my parents. So when people who know you well ask if you're preggers, it is time to do something about that! That weight gain was due mainly to being depressed but it was about that time I started prescription drugs to help with the fibro than jus the supplements I was using.

I also do 600 mg 4 times a day of the Gabapentin with decent results. Most days I can be a functional human. Lyrica was absolutely awful!!! for me at least. I have a friend that does very well with Lyrica.

Gabapentin all those medicines the steroid medicine all that puts on weight you hurt now you put on weight so you have to carry this heavy weight then it makes you depressed now because you're having anxiety about your weight you flare up I just watch what I eat I did a detox cleanse to get all that stuff out of me I couldn't take it anymore I was blowing up like a balloon especially after two epidurals

I'm now up to 145 from 110. I'm pretty depressed and feel like I look terrible. I'm hoping physical therapy will help with weight loss. I'm hoping really hard it does

I realize that Gabapentin does put on weight I will not take some Cymbalta that's why I did the detoxing of all those chemicals in my body I couldn't take it anymore it was driving me crazy
