Should I have a rheumatologist? I don't even know what they are.

Good morning hun ...
Rheumatologists treat arthritis, certain autoimmune diseases, musculoskeletal pain disorders and osteoporosis. There are more than 100 types of these diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, lupus, back pain, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia and tendonitis.

I think it is a great idea as they understand FM more than most dr. for the moment... it is a choice..

My Rhuematologist is really sweet. She just diagnoised me with RA. So she is starting me on meds for that, then she says she will see how I do. Asked her if she knew a good fibro doc, because my GP didn't seem like he knew a lot about fibro. She gave me a hug and said she would take care of me! Hugs to all!

I agree, you should definitely find a rheumatologist. They specialize in fibro & RA etc. they can also refer you to other specialists if needed.
