Nutmeg To Help With Sleeping Difficulties
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just wondering if anyone has tried this as a natural alternative

I am aware that nutmeg has a mildly sedative effect but have been reading that if you take 1/4 teaspoonful mixed in honey before bedtime will help you sleep better

I remember as a kid my grandmother would give me it in warm milk before bed when I stayed with her. It was her bedtime ritual.

Tho was reading that taking to much in one go, more than a teaspoonful in one go, it can cause hallucinations

There was a follow up / update to the link at the end to say that when he reverted to the preferred dosage of 1/4 teaspoon as I had mentioned in the original post that he found that it worked for him well.

As for myself .. Took the 1/4 teaspoon with honey in hot milk and slept sound for nearly 7 hours ... Happy rested baby this morning 😀😀😀😍

Wow. ..just like everything else we are given. ..There are side effects to them as well so yes, we all do not have to use excessive amounts of course but just like the update in the article 1/4 teaspoon could help you with sleep issues. ..
