There is a higher incidence of FM with autoimmune disease.

The newest theory on ME/SEID is a connection with the gut. As ME and FM are both central sensitivity illnesses it wouldn't surprise me at all if they have overlapping causes. Please see attached re the gut brain connection in ME

Yes! I have Hashimotos had thyroid cancer too. Even though I have no thyroid, I still have Hashi's (an auto immune disease) and I have fibro along with a host of other things.
