Members shared mixed but mostly positive experiences using TENS machines for fibromyalgia and chronic pain, with several describing it as a helpful tool for managing pain during car rides, long sitting periods, and activities like going to the cinema, though some noted the relief was temporary and electrode quality could be an issue. Several members emphasized the importance of learning proper placement and settings from a physical therapist or doctor first to avoid irritating fibromyalgia symptoms or causing nerve discomfort, with one member sharing how techniques learned during injury rehab helped them use the device safely at home. A recurring theme was the appeal of TENS units as a drug-free, affordable option that can be used as often as needed, with members encouraging each other to try what works best for their individual bodies and budgets.

Yes I use a TENs machine and it really does help me alot .I have arthritis as well as fibromyalgia and a fused disc in my neck .Have found it useful for days when I've taken as many medications as is safe .you can use TENs machine as often as you like as it's drug free. I have also found it useful for car journeys ,sitting for periods of time .Have regained some of my life because of it ,before going to cinema or on coach trips was impossible.

Have you used one with a therapist before? That is my only worry. Yes I have one its some relief but I have used them with a therapist for rehab after injuries so I reuse the tecniques taught to me by a PhD therapist for those areas only. This can be more harmful is missused so check with doctor to send you to a therapist to advisor placement and levels to help you.

I've just ordered one. I had one in labour and I think it helped. I've got to the point when I am willing to try anything. Will let I know in the next few weeks how I get on. I have gone wireless with it as I use to have issues with the wires falling off etc. Let's see how it goes huh.
