Bery interesting and thank you for sharing. This path makes a lot of sense. I have often wondered if it was a dormant mononeucleosis virus as I remember feeling "similar" to FMS when I had glandular fever. Let's hope for progress in this. These articles help us to stay positive 😊
I was diagnosed with Chronic Epstein Barr Virus over 20 years ago and was put on the anti-viral. I tolerated it quite well and felt so much better. Just recently, I've asked about the connection to fibro and was told "yes, it is a virus (and more), " I am told they are in the same family. I am interested in trying the anti-viral medication again and determining for myself if it's working to help me with the fibro. I would like to read about possible long term side affects first. Seems I get more out of my own research, as well as what I'm finding on this site, than I get from my doctor/s.
I had mono twice and was tested for Herpes many times and they were all negative. But in the beginning I was treated as if it was positive. I haven't had an issue or symptoms for 20+ years And an was told by an Infectious disease doc that I never had it!
Interesting. I had intestinal parasites after visiting Mexico. I had it treated and now there is no sign. However, I still have fibro and EBV. Each little bit and piece of this puzzle that each of us shares here, is beginning to create an increasingly clearer picture. Now, all we need to do is to get fibro researchers to being reading these posts. Let's all see what we can do in that regard.
