Working Full Time Whilst Taking Meds
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

Hi Everyone. I have been on duloxtine 60mg as well as underactive Thyroid meds for over 2 years now. I'm exhausted all the time and am constantly achey all over. The docs have now added gabapentin to the mixture and am worried that a high dose (got build up the meds everyday) will give me side affects that will result in me handing my notice in. Does anyone else work whilst taking the meds? I am due to go back to work on the 16th May after 6 weeks off and I'm already dreading it. I have 2 smallโ€ฆ read more

I work full time and have 3 kids, 4 if you count my husband. I take high doses of vitamin B complex to help with energy, once in the morning and once at lunch. Also I noticed a big change when I cut out certain foods; flour and sugary snacks.

I work full time and go to school. I'm on 90 mg deluxitne (cymbalta). It is hard sometimes with brain fog, and exhaustion. And other things. I don't have children to take care of, somyou need to weigh out what you need to do . You need to discuss this with your physician. It is hard and I have thrown medacine back at my physician.

Do you have the results of your thyroid panel? I wonder what you TSH and T3 and T4 and reverse T3 is. I ask because most endocrinologist don't know how to treat it. Functional medicine doctors do. Your pain and fatigue could be due to your thyroid

I work part time and take 300mg of Gabapentin 3 X daily! On my work days, I start off with a lot of pain use heat patches for my lower back and hips - I tend to loosen and cope well for the first few hours and then tends to go down hill from there - as the medication wears off I'm bent double with back and hip pain and even with a break I struggle for the rest of the day! I then pay for it the following day! I am determined to keep my job as long as I possibly can, even with the pain! Good luck, I hope it all works out for you๐Ÿ€
