Members shared mixed experiences with energy drinks for chronic fatigue, with many cautioning against caffeine due to side effects like heart palpitations, breast pain, rapid heartbeat, and disease flares. Several members described relying on coffee in moderation, B12 sublingual tablets, or occasional B12 injections as safer alternatives, while one member emphasized their doctor's advice to avoid caffeine, aspartame, sugar, and acidic drinks entirely to prevent flares. A recurring theme was the search for effective energy solutions that don't trigger symptoms, with one member recommending nutrient-rich chia seed beverages as a gentler option that provided a noticeable energy boost without caffeine.

Please be careful with those! They cause heart palpitations and rapid heartbeat! I have to be careful now days with caffeine. If I have coffee too late I'm up all night, even with my medication! I don't do the energy drinks. Although I have used the 5 hours energy...works ok, but you crash after the 5 hours...at least I did!!

my doctor says no caffeine. Also no aspertame, little/no sugar, no acidic drinks (soft drinks, coffee, etc.). Basically, if I don't want to flare, I drink water. Lots and lots of water.

I have tried several things, unfortunately they have caused a flare. But now I just use the B12 sublingual tabs.
