A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone's periods more painful since having Fibro? The dragging pain in my thighs are worse than my stomach cramps😞

Sophia- as a retired nurse in gynae, would you consider discussing with your g.p to have a Mirena I.U.D fitted? they do alleviate pain and suffering of monthly cycle and act as a contraceptive aswell.. Good Luck I,ve seen numerous ladies benefit from this.

Aww thanks @A MyFibroTeam Member, I've always suffered with painful periods but it seems have gone up a level with my Fibro! Taking anti - inflammatory a with my Gabapentin to try and keep on top of the pain but they make me feel a bit spaced out and I'm at work today Which is not ideal😕

That's just where my pain is @A MyFibroTeam Member, I've been walking like John Wayne today🙈 I would certainly ask your GP with you still being young, I'm hoping the menopause may help me when that time comes!

I wanted to ask this question actually because I get a lot more pain especially in my groin hips legs and lower back sometimes it has flared me up so bad that I end up losing movement in my legs than sets of rest of my back shoulders and than loose complete movement and end up in agony and I can't be moved at all. I was thinking of getting the contraceptive injection again as that stopped my cycle. Anyone else got any ideas on how to stop setting us off around our cycles?
