When To Worry About Swollen Lymph Node?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ever since I have had issues with the autoimmune junk I have had a lymph node in my neck getting swollen and hard. Sometimes the lymph node will go down but then it will get hard again and stick around for a good month or so.

I had a terrible ear infection about a month ago where my ear drum ruptured and the ENT told me that a swollen lymph node can indicate an infection (wherever the lymph node is, then the infection is somewhere higher up). That being said, I have also read that swollen… read more

Hi my lovely, I hope that this isn't worrying you to much. I had swollen nodes associated with my armpit and along breast/chest area. I then had a couple of very nasty breast infections. As a result I was referred to a breast clinic twice within 6 weeks; I was convinced that I had breast cancer. I don't thank goodness. All very scary though and just one of the symptoms that started to present itself in my journey to a fibro diagnosis. Anyway, all I wanted to say it that personally, I can scare myself when I get presented with new and unusual things, but often they turn out to be one of the less nasty nasties (does that make sense?) Fibro not included! Take care my lovely, here if you need me xxx

Mine also swell and I get infections like crazy... Until I added a probiotic with as many different strands of bacteria I could find. Then add zinc to your daily vitamins. They help repair the immune system and give your fighting cells what they need to fight.
Best of luck gentle Xoxo

I am new to this but if you're having a headache and swollen lymph node I would ask to see a neurologist just to make sure my daughter had headaches and she had a small brain tumor that they went in same day surgery and removed and then she's been fine ever since don't take a primary-care word for it ask to see a specialist my primary care treated me for ear infections for a year-and-a-half before I had to just say this isn't right I want it checked out and she finally sent me to a neurologist to find out that I had Ms and fibromyalgia good luck I hope it is nothing but just the fibromyalgia God bless and I will say prayers for you

I think your lymph nodes were inflamed possibly due to your body responds to the infection that was coming up. Mine flare up if I don't get enough sleep and they will bulge out so bad I can barely rum my neck!

I have had fibro since 1999 and I have never had a swollen lymph node from it. That is usually. always due to an inflammation somewhere in the body caused by infections only. Hope all is ok. Hugs and love to you.
