Members rallied around the struggle of fibromyalgia-related insomnia, with many describing years of sleepless nights and the exhausting cycle of waking frequently or never reaching restorative REM sleep. Several members shared medications and remedies that have helped them, including Trazodone (the most commonly mentioned), Melatonin, Amitriptyline, Restoril, CBD oil, and newer approaches like Phenibut or brain stimulation devices, while others emphasized the importance of addressing underlying stress and anxiety that can keep the mind from relaxing. A recurring theme was the desperation for true rest and the willingness to keep trying new solutions, paired with warm encouragement and understanding from those who know firsthand how debilitating chronic insomnia can be.

Chas anyone used the Fisherwallace neuro stimulator for sleep? Have been looking at it as I absolutely cannot sleep. It sounds too good to be true but would try anything at this point(they claim it works by bringing seratonin levels up

If you can, find a Jacuzzi or hydro pool and join, the exercise in water is soooo, relaxing and it helps you burn off pain and sleep, I,ve been doing this for 10 years and it keeps me going, I did notice when the hydro pool was out of action , that I started to feel slughish again and so used a local Jacuzzi instead.

I'd talk with your MD...there are many diff. types of meds to take for sleep. I've done trazodone, Ambien, et OTC Melatonin. They never worked for me...was wired even more et wanted to clean house. LOL. What did work for me was Seroquel but I didn't like taking it all the time cuz my dogs could be barking in my ear et jumping on me et I was like comatose. I now am on Restoril (another name Temazepam) that will help me sleep et I don't wake up groggy either. Or at times I take OTC Benadryl 25-50mg et that will help also once in awhile. But no matter what I take I never seem to get a whole nights rest until my body says no more et like finally shuts down. Hope you find something that works for you, it's awful not being able to sleep as you are well aware. Like right now 2am et I wish I was in bed next to my snoring dogs but nope on here et my other dog who's a momma's boy right next to me. Feel more sorry for my fur baby not laying in bed stretched out et getting his proper sleep:) God bless et hugs your way.

Hello insomnia I've been going through this since my car accident 10yrs ago. I can tell you what I learned about insomnia has a lot to do with stress and anxiety and they both are very strong words. If we are stressed and have a lot on our mind our brain won't let us sleep, like me I have been up all night...I have a lot on my mind and feel stressed. What I use is natural meds for sleep it's called Natrona purple cap purple and white bottle called Melatonin 10mg Fast Dissolve strawberry flavor I take 2 to make it 20mg they melt in your mouth so you don't need water. I hope this helps. We need to relax our minds.
